Welcome to the Woodlands GB page.  I’m Lynsey Addis, captain of Woodlands GB and I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a bit about our GB.  There are approximately 125 members of Woodlands GB including leaders and we meet on a Monday evening.  The girls in the company are aged from 3 to 18 years old and they come from very varied backgrounds.  We also have a few girls in GB who have special needs and who are as involved and as successful as all the other girls in the company.

Our girls work each week to gain badges and awards at the end of the GB year.  The 4 areas they are required to complete to gain badges are Spiritual, Educational, Service & Physical.  This means our programme has to be extremely varied to incorporate all areas of the badge.  Some examples of what would be in our programme are:- Arts & Crafts, cooking, Planning your wedding, Car maintenance, Fashion show, Mental health awareness, netball, football, games, GB PE, dance etc etc.

The motto of GB is ‘Seek, Serve & Follow Christ’ and the Spiritual part of our badge is aimed at teaching and showing girls how they can use God’s word as a guide to live a healthy, moral life and ultimately develop a close, personal relationship with God.

If you are a girl between the ages of 3 and 18yrs old you are welcome to come along to Woodlands GB on a Monday evening and take part in GB, We’d love to see you.
