I just want to say a massive THANKYOU to all of you who have faithfully been coming out on Sunday evenings to be part of the SUPREME series we are working through.

I realise that this is such a busy time, especially for those of you who have many exams looming, some which have already started.

We appreciate your commitment and hope you’ve been blessed so far. Don’t forget to fill in the exam prayer form so that we know what for and when to be praying!

Finally…this Sunday evening SUPREME continues with ‘Victorious’ – a great message for those doing exams and indeed all of us!

Tonight our SUPREME series continues with ‘Redeemed. Fear not.’ It’s been amazing so far…Im sure tonight will be also!

What else…’Minute to win it’ games, testimonies, praise & worship and food after…8pm Woodlands.

Also, Church 6:30pm – Stuart speaking. Service looks great, get yourself out to that too!

Death & Life

Following on in our ‘Supreme’ series, this week is called Death & Life. Once again we will look at what the Gospel really means for those who follow Jesus.

Make sure you get yourself out, Sunday 8pm at Woodlands. Take a break from study or whatever…do what you have to do to get out as we build momentum through this exciting series.

There will also be some important announcements, ‘minute to in it’ games & praise & worship amongst other things.

No Other Gospel

Galatians 1: 1-10

“¹ Paul, an apostle —sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christand God the Father, who raised him from the dead — ²and all the brothers and sisters with me,

To the churches in Galatia:

³Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,⁴who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age,according to the will of our God and Father, ⁵to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

No Other Gospel

⁶I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel — ⁷which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. ⁸But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you,let them be under God’s curse! ⁹As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!

¹⁰Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

Exam Prayer

It’s that time of the year again, everyone is stressed about exams and deadlines, and we want to help. Woodlands wants to know what exams you will be sitting and when, from 3rd year exams to finals in university, if you want someone in the church to be praying for you over the exam period, just fill in the EXAM PRAYER FORM.

Anyone at secondary school in East Antrim: tomorrow night (25th) – UNITE event, Carrick town hall, 7pm. Live music & life-changing message amongst lots more…let’s have loads of young people pack out the town hall!

Sermon Series

Recently in church Stuart and Les gave a series of talks on predestination and some of the questions around it. Billy (the sound guy in church) has recorded them all and the audio is up on the church site (see link below). The first is Stuart’s talk on the 18th March. If you don’t want to listen to them online, you can request a cd, but a donation is appreciated to cover costs.

YF Sunday 1st April: I AM: King of kings, Lord of lords.

Speaker: Terry Kirkpatrick – Terry will share about his work in the local schools with SU as well as speaking on our theme.

Music: Jonny Parkes and Pete Johnson will lead us in worship. DVC will also be leading us through Hip Hop beats.

There will also be our usual fun and food. Get yourself along. Bring a friend.

8-10:15pm.
