Day 9 – Fruit of the Spirit
Scripture: ‘But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law’ (Galatians 5:22-23)
Prayer: Pray that in your life the fruit of the Spirit (above) will be clearly seen. Pray for each fruit…
Challenge: Simple today. Help tonight at home by doing ALL of the dishes after dinner in your houses…on your own. Then make your Mum/Dad/both a cup of tea or coffee while they put their feet up!! If you already do the dishes…make sure you make the tea and coffee ![]()
If you have time after all that hard work… think about re-reading Stu’s blogs from the last few weeks about the Holy Spirit
Day 8 – We love Christmas!!
Scripture: ‘I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength…’(Ephesians 1:18-19)
Prayer: Pray today that you will have opportunity to speak about the great hope that you have in Jesus. Pray for the courage and confidence to do this. Pray that you will have the right words to say and that people will see how much you really do believe this.
Challenge: Ok, this should challenge you. Start a discussion today at school/work/college about what makes Christmas such a good time of year. Subtly (and naturally lol) try to bring your faith into the discussion…take an opportunity to talk about your hope in Jesus. Feedback any stories…
Day 7 – righteous give generously…

Scripture: ‘The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously…’ (Psalm 37:21)
Prayer: Today, pray that you will be generous in your life. Ask God to teach you to live a life with a generous spirit and that we would be a ‘giving’ people. Pray that you will take opportunities today to be generous.
Challenge: Get yourself to a shop/canteen/vending machine today. When you are buying something, also buy something small for either the person serving you at the till or the person next to you in the queue. Have a good think about what to say to them when you give them it! Should be interesting so post up how this challenge was received…
Extra challenge: Re-read the verse above. Have you any outstanding money (or other item) that you’ve borrowed and really need to repay to someone? If you can repay it today.
Day 6 – Project 25
Scripture: “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. Theprayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective” (James 5:16)
Prayer: Today…take a moment and ask God to put one close Christian friend on your heart, someone who is also doing Project 25. Pray for an opportunity to speak with them today and that you will be an encouragement to them throughout this project (and beyond). Pray that you will develop a relationship were you are accountable to each other through these challenges and in your life in general. Really thank God for this friend…
Challenge: Day 6 already. I believe today’s challenge can really help you with all the others. Today follows the theme of friendship . Today your challenge is to ‘phone a friend’. Yes - phone, not text – make your lol’s heard! Or you can speak with them face-to-face. This friend must also be doing the project (the person you have been praying for above!). Make a point of thanking them for their friendship. Agree together to support each other daily through this project and beyond. Work out how you will do this…but the challenge is to encourage each other and keep each other accountable for each task. Maybe you’re already doing this with someone? Keep it up! Maybe the person you ask has already agreed to do this with someone else – don’t be annoyed – quickly get in touch with someone else ![]()
Day 5- Project 25
Scripture: “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer” (Psalm 19:14)
“Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones” (Proverbs 16:24)
Prayer: Our words can have a huge impact. Ever thought of your words being like honeycomb?! Pray that with what we say today we will please God. Pray that our words would be of help to people today, that our words will ‘build up’ and not ‘tear down’.
Challenge: Beginning of a new week at school/tech/work. Mondays are usually grumpy days. Today your challenge is to 1) not talk negatively to those around you, and, 2) compliment at least 3 people today! Easy enough?? Come back with your comments…
Day 2- December 2nd
Scripture: “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing” (1Thess 5:11)
Prayer: Pray for a friend/friends who are struggling with something you know about. Pray that you can be an encouragement to them today and in the days ahead. Pray that God is revealed to them through these times.
Challenge: Today, text a friend who you know is struggling with something you know about. Encourage them. Spend a few minutes looking for a bible verse that might help.
Don’t forget if there’s anything you need prayer for, text the prayer phone: 07517371880

GOOD FRIDAY RADIANT YOUTH SERVICE
This Friday is Good Friday – Radiant Youth will be holding a special Easter RADIANT – ‘IN HIM’. This will be a special time to think about the cross of Jesus in a fresh way and what it really means for us to find our true identity ‘in Him’. The event will begin at 8pm but…
We want to take this day further…here is a wee added challenge. As you know, we are taking a keen interest in the atrocity that is the child sex trafficking industry. Here is one way that we can support the ‘Not for Sale Campaign’. The following is taken off their website:
PARTICIPATE IN THE NOT FOR SALE $2 PLUNGE. FOR 24 HOURS, JOIN MILLIONS AROUND THE GLOBE WHO LIVE ON $2 A DAY. HOST A SCREENING OF THE AWARD-WINNING FILM, BORN INTO BROTHELS. LEARN ABOUT THE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN POVERTY AND SLAVERY, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME RAISING MONEY TO END THIS REALITY FOR OTHERS!
SPEND LESS THAN $2 (£1.22) ON DAY OF PLUNGE- MINIMAL FOOD, NO SHOPPING, NO LUXURIES- THE GOAL IS TO LIVE AS SIMPLY AS POSSIBLE…
Ok, here is the plan…$2 = £1.22. We challenge you, on Good Friday, to live off £1.22 for the day! We will be meeting at church at 6pm for dinner in the evening…if you are going to be serious about this challenge, we invite you to come to church for your dinner – dinner that you have purchased within the £1.22 limit!!!
On top of this we would love to raise some money that we could you to support this work – one way of doing this would be to give another £1.22 to a collection that will be taken on Friday night and passed on to the relevant charity!
